The “Zilch” was designed by Jim Saftig and 1st published in the April 1951 Model Airplane News, and later in the Feb 1979 Model Aviation. Most popular version was that kitted by Barkley (originally the Super Zilch was in 1947). Today SIG still offers a Berkley mini-Zilch.
The BMJR Zilch A/2 is based on an old Wee-Duper Zilch plan provided by a friend which had little identification as to it’s origin. We scaled it to the size of our (great flying) 1/2A TEOSAWKI. Our finished flying weight with the COX Golden Bee .049 is 6.45 oz.
