~~Jim Clem designed the Witch Hawk 1/2A then scaled the model to 500 sq.in. for A-B gas which was published in the September 1982 issue of Model Aviation. It was interesting to learn that the different size Witch Hawks are exact scaled versions form the original 1/2A. Therefore we felt it appropriate that we scale the NFFS one-design 59” A-B model for todays E-36. The BMJR Witch Hawk E-36 has a 36” span and 175 sq.in. of area. Flying weight is 163 grams. Early flight testing at the 2016 NATS has shown the model to have the same flying characteristics as the larger models.
