Russ Hanson designed the T-Bird in 1956 at 324 sq. in. for 1/2A. In the 1980's Ron Sharpton began scaling the design for Nostalgia Competition all the way up to a 1200 with a McCoy 60. His 408 came out on top at the Nats 4 times. Several years ago, Russ and Ron approached me at Palm Bay about cutting a 408 kit. At the time we were just learning CAD and did not have our own laser and had to decline. In 2009 Gene Wicks showed up with a copy of the original 408 scaled plan which was the inspiration we need for this model. 48" span and 408 sq. in area for .09 -.15 power.
