The J-Hawk was designed by Ray Combs in the 1950's and was approved for Nostalgia competition by the NFFS Nostalgia committee in 2007. Model is relatively small with a 35" span and only 232 sq. in. of wing area originally intended for a Wasp .049. Hand Launch Gliders influenced the design with a low aspect ratio of only 5 ½ and a thin flat bottom airfoil., producing a model with a fast climb. Flying weight is in the 6 oz. range, ideal for Early Nostalgia competition.
