Duelist Mk III 1/2

Product viewed: 315774

The original Duelist was designed by Dave Platt in 1974 for 2 Super Tiger 23 engines and became a Pica kit. Later Dave did a kit of the MkII version, published in the May 1978 issue of MAN. This was the plan used by Gerry Armstrong to build his electric version for Toledo in 2010 which is also the plan originally used by Paul Bradley and BMJR as the basis for this 1/2 size model of this classic model. The Duelist MkIII designation was used only to differentiate between the original MkII and the electric version. The BMJR Duelist has a 35" wingspan and 223 sq.in. area. Model was designed around the HiMaxx 2208-1260 brushless motors (M-112)  to take advantage of their "stick" mount feature, although any pair of 30Watt brushless motors will provide excellent performance.  The HC-2208 with Talon 15 Speed Control is available as a combo (C-M-111), 2 each required. Also required are 3 micro servos (HS-55) and a Y harness (P-1460).
