In 1958, Carl Goldberg introduced the Ranger 30 to the modeling community through his Carl Goldberg Models Company. With a 30″ wingspan and all sheet balsa construction, the Ranger 30 was intended to help the new modeler achieve success in building a model airplane that also flew well. The original kit was set up to be built as a Free Flight or Control Line model with glow engine power. The BMJR kit is an R/C park flyer based on the original Goldberg Ranger 30. As a park flyer, this model retains most of the features of the original model while taking advantage of current day Micro R/C gear and electric power. This model can also be flown with the original Cox Pee Wee .020 glow engine power setup. Included in the BMJR Ranger line-up; are the rubber powered free flight Ranger 21 (Kit B-512) and Ranger 28 (Kit B-510), and the PeeWee .020 powered Ranger 30 (Kit B-143) free flight/control line model.
