In 1958Carl Goldberg introduced the Ranger 30 to the modeling community through his Carl Goldberg Models company. With a 30” wing span and all sheet balsa construction, the ranger 30 was intended to help the new modeler achieve success in building a model airplane that also flew well. The original kit was set up to be built as a Free flight or control line model with glow engine power. The BMJR kit is an R/C park flyer based on the original Goldberg Ranger 30. As a park flyer this model retains most of the features of the original model while taking advantage of current day micro R/C gear and electric power. The model can also be flown with the original cox Pee Wee .020 glow engine power setup. Included in the BMJR Ranger line-up; are the rubber powered free flight Ranger 21 (kit B-512) and Ranger 28 (kit B-510), and the PeeWee 020 powered Ranger 30 (kit B-143) free flight/control line model.
