The Satin Doll was designed by Dave Platt in 1995 as a free flight rubber model to be flown at Old Warden in England.  Model was later published in Aero Modeler and January 1996 Flying Models.  Design goal was to create a model reminiscent of those flown in the 1940s. What the biplane offers is not greater duration, with less building effort, for competition, but pure modeling satisfaction.  A joy to build and watch come together, with gracefully shaped components, emerging into 1 beautiful model airplane.  In the air, the sight of the Satin Doll is a delight.  20 years later, BMJR has re-engineered the Satin Doll for electric RC.  Not intended for aerobatics, model has rudder, elevator, and throttle.  With a 42″ span, 400 sq. in. of area and a flying weight of 20 oz., our wing loading is less than 8oz /ft.
