The Sniffer was an early Post War free flight model designed by R.G Schmith for the new OK Cubs and Anderson Spitfire glow engines of the day, and was produced a kit by Midwest Models in the early 1950’s. It is reported that the name came from it’s Thermal Sniffing ability but a complete history of the design appears nonexistent. The Super Sniffer is 150% enlargement of the BMJR Sniffer free flight model with only minor changes to the structure for RC and retaining the original outline. The 44″ BMJR Super Sniffer may be built for either electric or glow, and flown for FUN. Recommended power is a Cox Texaco .049 or geared speed 400 (S400). Model requires 2 mini servos (HS-81).
